So recently, I just purchased Wings of the Hawk 3D on Blu-Ray, suggested by a friend of mine. It just so happened to contain a restoration of a Woody Woodpecker cartoon that came alongside the film, titled Hypnotic Hick.
I was actually quite impressed with how good it looks, considering that it came from the 3-D Film Archives, alongside the film itself.

Not sure if Universal will open up to this kind of thing since this only happened once, but Universal does have a good following with Kino Lorber when it comes to old films, so who knows. Although I'm not saying this will happen soon, it's just how Universal sees profits in this.
