Most of the Krazys and Scrappy negs have Samba titles, and some of the Scrappys they restored in 99 (I think 3 out of [I think again] 5) have the Samba titles. The dozen or so Krazys they restored in 99 mostly had Samba titles, though I've only seen the remasters they did that have original titles (mostly because they weren't in the TV package). One of these remasters is missing audio (Ratskin) because they couldn't locate a soundtrack element for nearly a decade.

I don't think it's Universal, and it might not be for a long while. They need to restore their library to HD (properly) before they'd offer a package

It wouldn't be Color Rhapsodies, I think it's just the Color Screen Gems, period

Assuming they continue to show more, it would be nice if someone who keeps up with these shows would report the Columbia cartoons that air. Thus far I'm aware of five (Cat-Tastrophy, Gifts from the Air, The Happytots' Expedition, The Novelty Shop, and Midnight Frolics) that someone uploaded on YouTube, which I happily downloaded to have for reference. The fact that they're showing the '90s masters without the Totally Tooned In title and soundtrack alterations is frankly a pretty big deal, as some of the color cartoons have *only* been available in the Totally Tooned In versions, and what's mostly available otherwise on the rest of them are low-fidelity transfers of 16mm prints that often have their share of splices/missing footage, and digitized VHS copies of often even poorer-fidelity transfers. These '90s "restorations" exhibit their own share of issues at times, such as DVNR or questionable color grading, and now the awful improper deinterlacing and occasional censorship being done to them for MeTV, but they still have reference value.

If they actually get the '30s B&W series airing for the first time in, well, generations, from good-quality official masters, that would be something. That they saw fit to acknowledge director Ben Harrison and mention his work on the Krazy Kat series when they showed The Happytots' Expedition is a good sign.

This may be a coincidence, but last week after I emailed Jerry about a slightly unrelated question about METV, he told me he was going to meet up with Bill next week. I was thinking of that when watching Thursday's show.

Vert smart move! Now, we just need to see what happens next week! Hopefully, someone can keep us all updated here on the news.

Um, why do you say that? There is nothing problematic about the cartoon. Unless you want to count Babbit and Catstello swearing their mouths off.

A little late, but would anyone give me the list on what aired on last Saturday's "Popeye and Pink Panther's Party" and "The Tom and Jerry Show"? I accidently cancelled my DVR schedule recordings for the shows (not realizing I already had them scheduled) and I didn't know it till the morning. I started on the later right at the end of "The Stork's Holiday".

My friend in West Virginia managed to keep up with the schedule; here's what aired:

"Cookin’ with Gags", "Doing Impossikible Stunts", "Dizzy Divers", "Prehistoric Pink", "Gem Dandy", "Ape Suzette", and "Pink on the Cob" aired on the first block.

"Posse Cat", "The Prospecting Bear", "Fit to Be Tied", "Poor Little Me", "The Stork’s Holiday", and "Jerry’s Diary" aired on the second block.

Also, I am surprised that "The Stork's Holiday" actually aired; that might end up giving "Brother Brat" a chance later on.

If anyone finds themself in this situation again, keep in mind that MeTV's posted schedule doesn't purge day by day. You can to their schedule online and arrow back about a week. So if you miss the listings on a Saturday, you can go back and see that Saturday for days afterwards.

Think I will revive the conversation since it has been quite a while now.

Looks like today, ALL of the "Looney Tunes" cartoons that aired on the SMC block were Chuck Jones-directed shorts! I don't think I have ever seen a case like this happen before related to a director, though someone can correct me if I am wrong.

Sorry for double posting, but I will just get this off the hook.

"Peck Up Your Troubles" aired unrestored on the Sunday Night Cartoons block, as I expected. A complete disgrace, MeTV (in my opinion).

My guess on why they did that was because this month marks a rather sad anniversary regarding Chuck (although, I'm perplex on why they aren't doing it for every Saturday for this month according to the February schedule).

That does make sense, very sad.

I would also like to point out the fact that, unlike last year where MeTV would do something, they have aired NOTHING newly restored from the LT library (not counting WarnerMedia RIDE transfers and heck even the botched "Peck Up Your Troubles") last month and are currently airing nothing new right now.

Uh, the year has barely begun. Who knows if we get anything newly restored? Let's be patience.

You're right. However, I just find it astonishing that MeTV didn't do anything last month, as they would air something new in-between reruns occasionally.

I Wanna Be a Sailor aired restored today!!!

Tale of Two Mice was indeed restored. It doesn't have the original credits reinstated though.

I can get behind this. It's also photoshopped for what I know. Does it really bother me though? A little, but at least A Tale of Two Mice gets the restoration treatment.

Thanks for the input, Thad.

I've heard! Looks nice! Goatsed titles as usual.

Well, thanks for the confirmation Thad, but now, I go on a little tangent. Please respect my opinion, as my rant stated below is PURELY opinion-based and nothing else.

This is an abysmal shame. Why? Because unlike other cartoons (i.e. the Tex Avery LTs from eBay, the original titles through Facebook and Cartoon Research via damaged cels, a few Warner Bros. cartoons reissued after 1948, "Of Thee I Sting", "Doggone Cats", and "Bone Sweet Bone", just amongst a few; though a few others were also fairly obvious), while I understood those situations well because of other issues at WB, this cartoon was BLATANTLY in front of Warner Bros. the whole time. Like seriously, I have received the full original titles copy even after Thad's upload was taken down from Vimeo (through a MEGA folder and a Russian website respectively), and it baffles me as to why, since a cartoon featuring Bugs Bunny with a similar situation, "Knights Must Fall", which was restored with the original titles, was lucky. Why they couldn't do the same with "Tale of Two Mice", is completely beyond me (plus, those awful goatsed titles). Were they lazy, or did they just not care? Those aren't excuses, they really aren't... that is obvious failure in my opinion if you would know that the original titles were right in front of you, unless you weren't able to get that copy for negative damage reasons.

TLDR; WB took a fat "L", period.

By the way, a little secret to tell; I have been trying to get in contact with someone or some people, who have BRAND NEW yet-to-be-seen LT restorations (and I ain't bluffing either)! However, I cannot get in contact with them because when I asked on a Discord server with people who seemingly knew about this, I was refused any offer I gave to the people, even when I was very polite, formal, and patient and thus, I couldn't even get in contact with anybody as a result.

If anybody over here knows about the situation that I am talking about and has these new LT restorations yet to be seen through MeTV, please get in contact with me privately through [REDACTED]. I promise, a hundred percent, that I won't share or leak ANYTHING online, as I have been keeping similar promises with other people, though with different situations.

Thanks!

Roxen.

Roxen,

What we have been told by people involved in the situation is that the people in question cannot share these around, and what's more, you went as far as to guilt-trip them multiple times in an attempt to get the leaker's contact information. I had thought your strange moping and blame-taking here a while back was a one-time occurrence, but it seems now that this is a recurring pattern of behavior, and it is highly advisable that you cut it out. To put it bluntly, anyone who isn't keen on dealing with you to begin with will be even less willing to deal with you if you start trying to make them feel bad.

In that regard, please give it a rest with the repeated e-begging in general from this point on. This is your last warning.
Roxen Trail

I apologize for that. I was trying to get myself privately in contact and wasn't trying to guilt-trip anyone... while I am prone to making fun of WB and MeTV (especially on YouTube and Discord) but not attack anybody, I never had any intentions of guilt tripping anyone on that Discord server, ever.

I think I will go inactive for a while to reconsider myself.

Today they aired “Little Dutch Plate” and “Busy Bakers”. Were those new airings, or had either of those run on MeTV before?

Little Dutch Plate was a strange edit, the opening and closing rings were from an entirely different decade. Don’t feel like I’ve seen much of that, if at all.
