All pre-release orders before March 15th (around which time the set will be sent out) will receive an extra disc of cartoons that didn't make it to the set.

The Van Beuren cartoons have really gotten their due in the past several years thanks to the work of Mr. Stanchfield!

Good old Van Beuren certainly have served Thunderbean well! (Or should that be the other way round?) I'm definitely looking forward to this set, but - and I hate to be that guy - I'm hesitant of ordering from Amazon for one simple reason:

Item cost: $15.95
Shipping to UK: $14.95

Is this the end of traditional PayPal Thunderbean pre-orders? I certainly hope not...

I *hate* that and can't adjust it! You can Paypal it, attention to MEL (my new sorely long-needed shipping assistant!). She'll make sure the order goes out! Shipping to UK is $9.

Steve, this is probably obvious to folks who've been ordering from you for a while... but since I'm rather new to Thunderbean acquisitions, can you tell me whether the "bonus" pre-order disc is the same as the "All Sorts of Cartoon Shorts" disc I already ordered, or a previous IAD-exclusive disc, or something else entirely?

They're two different discs... but both sort of similar in that they are not 'official' replicated products... just sort of collector ones. There are quite a few of them in the last 3 or 4 years...

Interesting to hear that we can PayPal Thunderbean directly for their releases. I didn't catch this thread before I pre-ordered on Amazon, but will keep it in mind from now on.

One question, though, Steve... I pre-ordered "Van Beuren Classics" back on March 2, and was very surpriced to hear from Amazon already on March 4 that Thunderbean had shipped my order! However, it's now been 12 days and I still haven't received the set. So I was wondering, did you actually ship the set back then or was the message an error on Amazon's part?
