Stumbled across a fairly decent HD transfer of the revised version of the Jam Handy Rudolph on YouTube here:

As far as I knew, the only HD transfer that's been released (unless it's been on a Thunderbean special disc perhaps?) is the LoC transfer of the original 1948 version. It's one of those YT channels that generally posts Blu-ray rips of PD films, with their own logo slapped on, so I doubt it's anything original to the channel. Anyone know the original source of this? Definitely not one of the versions on archive.org, and it's a totally different print source than the LoC - different scratches, and it has what I'm guessing are nitrate decomp test punch holes - so it's not just the LoC transfer with the new music and whatnot tacked on. Would love to get my hands on a less-compressed copy. (Hell, I'd love to see the LoC transfer in better quality too, but I don't think it's been released apart from as a lower-quality streaming version.)

Figured if anyone knows it would be you all. :)

Thanks!

Hmm, the print damage seems to match the preview of the VOD/digital version for sale here:

The end all quality is the Library of Congress's print since it's the original. Prelinger Archive's copy in terms of the revised version with the song "Rudolph" is better when it comes to color and also wherever this copy came from on Celluoid, there are a few splices and dices. Not as bad as some dupes on DVD like Mill Creek, but one slighty bad on in the middle of Rudolph meeting Santa.

I like that these HD versions are all over the place and that they are TRUE HD versions (not upscales). It's a battle of restorations, and it benefits us the fans.
