Warner Archive put up a three minute clip of "Daffy Duck in Hollywood" in HD...it looks terrific.

It's included as a bonus feature on the Jezebel Blu Ray.

Did they actually get the funds to restoring it again? If so, that’s pretty nice. Definitely paves the way for more Tex Avery, although this is the wrong era for what everybody’s looking for. Could they have just used the HD transfer from the golden collection from 2005?

I'm just about certain this is the exact same restoration that was done for Looney Tunes Golden Collection: Volume 3  back in 2005 (as tashlinfan44 suggests). Check out the DVD screenshots  for comparison. If memory serves, Thad and others have mentioned that Warner started restoring their cartoons in HD from the second Golden Collection onwards. I can't imagine that Warner Archive suddenly has the budget to restore cartoons from scratch just for the bonus features of their live-action Blu-rays.

This has been on Boomerang in HD for a while, definitely not newly remastered, just another HD copy that WB has been sitting on for years with no plans to release.

Yeah, I wish they start airing the restored versions of these shorts. Is it that hard to add them in the retortion?

Not to get off topic but has Boomerang been showing more of the pre 1948 cartoons?
