For a while, I've been thinking about replacing broken discs and ordering replacement discs for titles that initially had issues when released. Here's what I'm thinking of replacing:
-
Looney Tunes Golden Collection: Volume Two (disc four)
Pressing the "display" on my Blu-ray player's remote reveals that most of the shorts on the fourth disc are interlaced scan - "1080/60p"
-
Walt Disney Treasures: More Silly Symphonies: Volume Two (both discs)
*Reissue titles still intact on many black-and-white shorts
*
The Merry Dwarfs is cropped to 1.33:1, without any windowboxing to retain its approximately 1.20:1 aspect ratio
*
The Night Before Christmas is edited - no Amos and Andy doll scene
*
Moth and the Flame's "The End" card initially shows up at a smaller size before enlarging
-
Walt Disney Treasures: The Chronological Donald: Volume Four (disc one)
Bee on Guard is [apparently] supposed to end with the bee winking at the camera; here, the short ends at the other bees cheering for him before cutting to the "The End" card
-
Tom and Jerry Spotlight Collection: Volume Two (both discs)
Three shorts -
The Lonesome Mouse,
Saturday Evening Puss, and
Nit-Witty Kitty - have Mammy Two-Shoes voiced by someone doing a
very convincing facsimile of her voice instead of Lillian Randolph
How can I contact Warner Home Video and Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment for replacement discs?
