For a while, I've been thinking about replacing broken discs and ordering replacement discs for titles that initially had issues when released. Here's what I'm thinking of replacing:

-Looney Tunes Golden Collection: Volume Two (disc four)
Pressing the "display" on my Blu-ray player's remote reveals that most of the shorts on the fourth disc are interlaced scan - "1080/60p"
-Walt Disney Treasures: More Silly Symphonies: Volume Two (both discs)
*Reissue titles still intact on many black-and-white shorts
*The Merry Dwarfs is cropped to 1.33:1, without any windowboxing to retain its approximately 1.20:1 aspect ratio
*The Night Before Christmas is edited - no Amos and Andy doll scene
*Moth and the Flame's "The End" card initially shows up at a smaller size before enlarging
-Walt Disney Treasures: The Chronological Donald: Volume Four (disc one)
Bee on Guard is [apparently] supposed to end with the bee winking at the camera; here, the short ends at the other bees cheering for him before cutting to the "The End" card
-Tom and Jerry Spotlight Collection: Volume Two (both discs)
Three shorts - The Lonesome Mouse, Saturday Evening Puss, and Nit-Witty Kitty - have Mammy Two-Shoes voiced by someone doing a very convincing facsimile of her voice instead of Lillian Randolph

How can I contact Warner Home Video and Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment for replacement discs?

I don't know if Disney still issues replacement discs for the Walt Disney Treasures volumes (first page of Google turned up results for broken/damaged discs which doesn't seem to be your problem), but have you tried contacting Warner Bros.' customer service  for the Looney Tunes DVDs?

I don't remember how exactly I got my replacement disc for Tiny Toon Adventures: Looney Links! (context: one episode's third act was replaced with the third act of the episode "Toon TV"), but it was probably through e-mail.

Are you refering to the Thea Videl redubs done in the late 80's-early 90's by Turner?

Got a new copy of Looney Tunes Golden Collection: Volume Four in the mail today.

The last time I got this volume, nearly the entire set (minus the first disc) wasn't working. Now, only discs two and four aren't fully functional (the third disc was working, though, and the fourth disc was more playable this time sans one of the "Behind the Tunes" featurettes).

Not falling for my parents "taking responsibility" lectures again, so I'll be calling Warner Bros. for replacement discs right away...

In the case of Disney
You will have to contact their customer service and fill out what the requirements such as serial numbers for the disc, to get the correct version of the discs. They will send internationally even if you got region 1 sets.

They did not recall unsold set to do the replacements. When these errors came to light.

Also depending on where you bought them if it's directly from the first-hand store such as Amazon then I think you are save in those regards unless Disney has decided to discontinue the replacement service. But if it was ebay then contact the seller and aks if they are trying to sell you faulty discs.

As for Looney Tunes I don't know but if you are playing the DVD on a laptop then ensure you set your computer on region 1, even if some third party online DVD players are region free - if the laptop is set to another region than region 1 as most laptop no matter where they are sold are NTSC so setting the defult player to another region will cause conflict. You could also try putting those dvds in another player do decide if its the player or the disc.

Thanks for telling me how to replace the Treasures discs - I may contact them for a Chronological Donald replacement disc tomorrow.

I have tested the Frank Tashlin disc [of LTGC Volume Four] in another player; it is indeed the disc. Putting the disc in my own player and selecting any of the bonus features on that particular disc automatically activate the "play all" function; the player I tried to play the disc in a while ago couldn't read it at all.

Tried calling Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment Guest Relations for a replacement disc for The Chronological Donald: Volume Four (won't be replacing the More Silly Symphonies discs until I get a copy with at least the booklet and lithograph inside the case), but their offices are closed in observance of Memorial Day. I will try again tomorrow.

Can anyone tell me how contacting Warner Home Video for replacement discs works? I would like to replace discs two and four of LTGC: Volume Four and disc four of LTGC: Volume Two, but I'm not sure how to do so (I ended up e-mailing them and never got a response back).

Contacted WDSHE Guest Relations for a CDV4 replacement disc. I got in touch with two agents - the first said that the replacement program was not available, whereas I told the second about what was wrong with the disc I wanted to replace. I was aware that Disney was still able to offer replacement discs for this set last year , so I gave the agent information about the disc and asked him what I could do about it. It turns out that WDSHE will send me a prepaid label to ship the disc back to them in in a few weeks.

Also tried replacing the LTGC discs, but unfortunately couldn't because WHV doesn't replace product that was purchased off of eBay. Will try purchasing the set yet again on Amazon and see if any of the discs in the copy I got on Amazon work...

I have a similar issue: Disc 1 of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Academy Awards Collection: 15 Winners/26 Nominees does not work. If Warner doesn't replace DVD copies that were purchased via eBay, will I have to buy another copy of this set on Amazon?

Okay, so you WILL get a new disc then?

Yeah, that's what'll most likely happen after I send them the original disc. (The corrected disc is supposed to have the last five seconds of Bee on Guard intact, but the one I have currently has the short abruptly cut to the "The End" card instead)

After I get the repressed disc one, I'll try going through this process again with both discs of More Silly Symphonies: Volume Two (my copy of that set has two issues: the discs I got were the ones without all of the recreated titles for the black-and-white shorts and the uncut The Night Before Christmas and it didn't come with any of the original inserts; I have to remedy the latter issue before I can replace the discs). Getting a copy with the inserts intact and ordering the replacement discs from WDSHE during the same time frame won't be easy...

Two updates on my disc replacement plan:
- The prepaid label Disney sent me will be here in seven business days. Will be sending them an envelope with the label on top and the disc inside almost immediately after I receive it (I don't have to charge them or send them a money order, either; this sort of replacement program is separate from the official disc replacement program, which has now ended)
- My father has ordered me a copy of More Silly Symphonies with the inserts included; I will check to see if disc one has any reissue titles and disc two has the censored The Night Before Christmas (if so, I will be contacting Disney for replacements)

My label came on Monday (way sooner than I expected; after I found out that Consumer Relations had shipped the one I ordered in May to the wrong address, they told me to expect a new label by the beginning of July). I mailed it and the original pressing [of disc 1 of The Chronological Donald: Volume Four] to Consumer Relations today; here's hoping I get the repressed disc back from them...

Haven't done much here recently, so here's an update on my disc replacement *plan*:
- My Chronological Donald disc came on Friday. I can confirm that Bee on Guard is uncut!
- I contacted Disney again yesterday for the More Silly Symphonies replacement discs, but shortly after I called them, I received an email that said the replacement discs for that set were no longer available. I'm wary about asking them for a replacement disc for Legendary Heroes (one episode on the first disc, "The Nine Lives of Elfego Baca", starts skipping more than 24 minutes in), since it was released a year before MSS and they said the set I wanted to replace the discs of wasn't available anymore, but it wouldn't hurt to try anyway.
