I'm a new user! I came here because I've known (and grew up with) looking at the forum section. Now that i'm 13, I can express my opinions!

This is a 2017 book aimed for children. "Animated Comedy" is likely to prove points here.

When talking about Tom and Jerry, she used Wikipedia. In 1965, the cartoons were airing, but heavily-edited and toned-down, leading into a general description of their battles. The battle topic for the, died in the 70s, as she chooses the lighter and softer 1975 Tom and Jerry series for the books (using the common nickname "The NEW Tom and Jerry Show"), where they are best friends who work in a Scooby-Doo-like manner. She also states Itchy and Scratchy are parodies of these characters (the Simpsons page in said section randomly states Futurama is a spin-off). Spin-off listed are The Tom and Jerry Show (which one?), the Tom and Jerry Comedy Show and the Tom and Jerry Kids.

The Bugs Bunny Show fails to mention anything about the long and "looney" history, and is a simple description of the show (using the term "new" for the cartoons). The fun fact is about Tweety originally being pink and named Orson. Spin-offs listed are The Bugs Bunny-Road Runner Show, the Comedy Hour, the 2011 Looney Tunes show and Baby Looney Tunes.

It also states Bugs has been entertaining audiences for more than 85 years. That being 1932...
