[1] As for the color image, the title lettering is not original, but cel illustration is; cropped, however.
[2] One of these sources contains the final art. The publicity still in the third link is probably preliminary; lack of typography, but the illustration looks legitimate, and there is even a studio code at the bottom right. The fourth link contains this illustration in color. The press book for this title from R.K.O. Radio Pictures themselves in the first link uses a completely different illustration, complete with lettering, that has found it's way in a book adaption of this title in full color; see the second link.
[3] The book has the lettering slightly at a higher position than in the lobby card and the reissue.
[4] The stills oddly say that 'Goofy and Wilbur' is a Silly Symphony; and it does share a Silly Symphony production code.
[5] Was 'How To Ride a Horse' originally planned to be released separately from 'The Reluctant Dragon' at the same time? It never got a separate theatrical release until 1950, yet the title card here indicates it uses an older layout with an actual MPPDA code.
[6] 'Beach Picnic' was internally a part of the Mickey Mouse series, released as a Donald Duck title, yet the promotional material calls it a Silly Symphony?!

Well then. I fixed the error. Anyways, there appears to be a book for Disney's adaption of 'The Ugly Duckling' that includes that specific illustration I mentioned, all in color; and another one, finely detailed! It might be the finished title art, or it was made for the book itself. What is even better is that there is a large press book from R.K.O. Radio Pictures, using this exact illustration!

Later editions of this book scrap the former illustration mentioned, for reasons unknown. I will be updating the opening post as this thread continues.

I have added 'Donald's Cousin Gus' and a numerous amount of titles such as 'Canine Caddy' with it's original lettering to the thread. Bizarrely, like 'The Ugly Duckling', the art for the opening title card here in 'Donald's Cousin Gus' is completely different compared to it's respective reissues!
