I saw it announced on tv shows on DVD as well as Jerry Beck's Facebook page that Warner Archive is putting out a new collection of reissues titled "Ultimate Looney Tunes & Merrie Melodies Collection".

According to the TV Shows on DVD website, "Ultimate Looney Tunes & Merrie Melodies Collection will be a 20-disc boxed set containing every cartoon that has thus far been remastered and released as part of the Looney Tunes Golden Collection, Looney Tunes Super Stars, and Looney Tunes Platinum Collection releases, in chronological order, from Congo Jazz to The Great Carrot Train Robbery. Each disc will contain three bonus off-the-shelf cartoons as well, including Sinkin' in the Bath Tub, Egghead Rides Again, Racketeer Rabbit, Hopalong Casualty, Beanstalk Bunny, China Jones, Daffy's Diner, Cool Cat, and many more. Expected retail price will be $79.99."

According to a Facebook post from Jerry Beck, it'll also include the remastered Porky's Duck Hunt, all cartoons from Mouse Chronicles, and all cartoons remastered for the I Love Tweety discs that have not been released in America, and many cartoons will have new video transfers, with all cartoons from the first two Super Stars releases in their proper aspect ratio. He also confirmed that none of the restorations used for Porky Pig 101 will be included.

It's a shame this was only an April Fools joke, otherwise I would instantly grab this set up!

Pricing it for $80 is some sort of a stretch, though..............didn't the Golden Collections initially cost for $65 for a lot less cartoons than those included here?

With the Golden Collections, there were expenses like remastering costs, bonus features, and so on. With this fake idea, there wouldn't have been any new remastering involved, as all the cartoons would have already been remastered, and there wouldn't have been any bonus features beyond some off-the-shelf unrestored bonus cartoons (which, again, wouldn't be remastered). During the years when they had a budget for remastering, the budget was only 60 cartoons a year, regardless of how much bonus material was included.

I don't know what a realistic price would be for a boxed set of every cartoon that has been remastered.

I also wonder how badly fans would want a set with everything that has been remastered in chronological order. I'm sure it would appeal to anybody who doesn't already have any of the sets, and maybe people would sell their other releases to avoid double-dipping, but this set wouldn't have retained the bonus features from the Golden Collections or Platinum Collections.
