It sounds like as of 2010 that all 7 Laugh-O-Gram shorts had been found. However, 3 of the 7 weren't available on dvd/blu-ray to purchase, and were not easily viewable.

These 3 include:
Jack the Giant Killer (currently on you tube)
Goldie Locks and the Three Bears
Jack and the Beanstalk

We're 8 years on now and I was wondering if anything had changed with respect to these 3 shorts? Do they exist anywhere to purchase? And short of being in the right place at the right time to attend a film festival where these are being shown, is it possible to view the latter two listed above anywhere?

thanks!

I recommend this two part article by Jim Korkis:

From the article and the comments section it would seem that the short answer to your question is... no. While Disney may now have the cartoons there does not seem to be any current plans to release them.

Thanks so much for the reply and the link to the article.

It's too bad that the Laugh-O-Grams and a fair number of the Alice Comedies that exist are either difficult or impossible to access. Please let me know if I have this as incorrect:

Exist, but not accessible:
Laugh-O-Gram: Jack and the Beanstalk
Laugh-O-Gram: Goldie Locks and the Three Bears
Alice Plays Cupid
Alice's Spanish Guitar
Alice's Picnic

Youtube only:
Laugh-O-Gram: Jack the Giant Killer

Can only be seen by requesting from Netherland's Film Museum:
Alice Helps The Romance
Alice the Firefighter
Alice's Brown Derby
Alice in the Big League
Alice's Rodeo

(all the rest of the Alice Comedies, that aren't lost, can be found in various dvd/blu ray collections)

And these 16 are all still lost, right?:
Alice Charms the Fish
Alice's Monkey Business
Alice Cuts the Ice
Alice the Lumberjack
Alice the Golf Bug
Alice Foils the Pirates
Alice at the Carnival
Alice the Collegiate
Alice in the Alps
Alice's Auto Race
Alice's Knaughty Knight
Alice's Three Bad Eggs
Alice's Channel Swim
Alice in the Klondike
Alice's Medicine Show
Alice the Beach Nut

thanks so much!

Yes, as far as I am aware, those shorts are still missing (though I'm hopeful maybe some of them been found as researchers are looking for prints of the lost films).
