A series of Italian commercials advertising De Rica food products featuring Sylvester, Tweety and Granny. One commercial was linked to in this Cartoon Research article , but it has since been deleted. The animation, despite being off-model, does manage to be energetic. I don’t believe anyone from Termite Terrace worked on this. Does anyone have any other information on these commercials, like when/where they were produced, who worked on them, etc.?

I think the food companies ask them to edit or make them and they pay. Idk who is "them," it could be possibly the people of the food company that were hired to make commercials.. Contact me on Wikia if you have any feedback to give me. I will try to use this site more often.

Looks like the answer was right under my nose. John Paul Cassidy says in the comments for the CR article featuring the now-deleted commercial that it was animated by Pagot Studios, the producers of Calimero (the black baby chick with an eggshell on his head)!

Also, De Rica's official website  states that the commercials aired in 1967 on the Italian advertising show Carosello, which Calimero made his debut on in 1963! [tweety] [sylvestr]

I was gonna post a thread about those commercials, but I just found out people posted about them in this thread. Listen closely to the sound effects in them, they are the exact same sounds by Tod Dockstader used in Gene Deitch's Tom and Jerry cartoons! At first I thought Deitch had a hand in these ads, though I'm very sure that isn't the case.

Outside of Sylvester and Tweety and Huck, The Flintstones, Jetsons, and even Alvin and the Chipmunks got their own spots, and they might also be by Pagot Studios.

Two late-1930s Columbia Krazy Kat cartoons...in gaudy, jerky, redrawn color? (I remember seeing a cel from one of these redrawns once on eBay.) Barry I. Grauman says that these were done in 1968, and colorized by Fred Ladd's Color Systems in South Korea (the same company that colorized a ton of black-and-white Porky Pig cartoons around the same time).


That channel is filled with all sorts of film oddities; check them out when you get the chance.

I totally remember the first promo at the beginning, since I've seen it on the VHS of Bugs Bunny Superstar which I rented once as a kid once at the former Hollywood Video.

Since Clyde Geronimi has finally just been posthumously named a Disney Legend, here’s a storyline from what is supposed to be his non-Disney work (now part of their companies cooperate synergy assists). This is one of the Marvel TV cartoons where they cheaply animate a comic story drawn by Jack Kirby (also, just name a Disney Legend):


And yes, according to Jerry (who was at the D23 ceremony), they did showed a clip from one of the cartoons during Cldye’s presentation.

"Krazy Kat and Ignatz Mouse Discuss the Letter 'G'" , an IFS Krazy Kat cartoon. Note how lanky and catlike Krazy is, even moreso than in the comics produced around the same time!

A few mystery animated films from that "SILENT MAN" channel I linked to in my last post. Anyone know their origins?

An "Out of the Inkwell" cartoon called "False Alarm." 

Joe Noble's "Sammy and Sausage" characters in "Whatrotolis" or "Was It A Dream?"  More info about Noble and his career can be found at the blog "The Lost Continent,"  dealing with animation from the United Kingdom.

The second cartoon is Zagreb Film's "Veliki Strah" or "The Great Fear" (1958):



I read about this short thirteen years ago on BCDB when I was looking up stuff about Zagreb and remember the page mentioning that English narration was added when it aired on television in the U.S. Strangest thing is that I never seen this short until now!
