Wow, Wonders of the Deep is one of the few Mickey shorts that's 7 min. long unlike how they play normally in their length (2-3 min.).

Here's another one, Dancevidaniya. While there's still something 'off' about the characters in these cartoons (at least as far as I'm concerned), I have to admit that they still have their moments and this one is a lot of fun. Some of the stunts Mickey pulls in Dancevidaniya are more like something Oswald would do. In fact I think I'd enjoy many of these shorts a lot more if they featured Oswald instead of Mickey. A lot of Mickey's crazy antics and the surreal gags in these cartoons would be better suited to Oswald's character in my opinion.

Not to mention that the other Walt did similar global themed cartoons with Oswald during the first season or so of the Universal shorts including one on Mars.

...and another one, Couple's Sweaters. With Dancevidaniya, I said I could imagine Oswald in place of Mickey, but Couple's Sweaters stars a character that doesn't seem at all like either one and we're back to the screechy cartoons irritated me before, so I'll leave this thread again for the people who enjoy them. Look out for a few Disney cameos and references in this one:

Sometimes, I think the writers confuse Mickey with Buddy.

First of all it's at Walt Disney World (Disney Hollywood Studios) to be exact. Second of all, how is this exactly an improvement over “The Great Movie Ride”? How are these shorts better than something like “Fantasia”? It would’ve been way better if the replacement would’ve go through Mickey’s film career (“Steamboat Willie” to “Get a Horse!”) and not based on TV shorts that Walt would find cringe worthy.

I believe first "film" (or movie) in Mickey's career was actually the one named "Plane Crazy" and that you actually meant to use the word "Hollywood" between the words "Disney" and "Studios" in your message.

“Steamboat” was released publicly first.

Hi, I'm Moviefan12. I'm a big Mickey fan and I found your guys' thread about the new shorts through a Google search. I was curious about other's opinions on the new shorts as after hearing the news of Runaway Railway, I had mixed feelings as I've wanted a Mickey ride for as long as I can remember but I can't say that I've been that impressed with the new shorts. And I'm willing to give these shorts a chance as I've only watched the first season, so I think it's only fair to watch the newer shorts before the ride opens. But some things such as word about the Snow White short sound disheartening.
