After transferring a Heckle and Jeckle cartoon. the telecine broke.

Don't believe me? Here:

Will we have more special sets? Will Mr. Bug see the light of day?

My guess is we will upgrade from HD to 4K. But that facility is not in the Detroit area and is in Canada.

So will Steve halt production on early stage sets? Or does Steve have a plan B?

What do you think? And I really mean it this time.

Luke! Don't panic!

It's *not* the end of Thunderbean! IT'LL TAKE MORE than BAD LOGIC BOARDS or an old PC to BRING the MIGHTY BEAN DOWN!

The Telecine has been in jeopardy for a while there, honestly. We're about the only company that uses the system on a regular basis, so it's not in the best interest of Ringside Creative to maintain the machine if something major happens. My Telecine guy there works full-time elsewhere, and runs his services as Motion Picture Transfer. There is another Telecine in town- but I find the situation there not as suitable for my needs (and honestly, Pat allows me to do things in a few hours that would take *many* hours elsewhere... and that's the only way I've been able to do the special sets in any affordable way). Doing all this stuff is a stresser and keeps me busier than I'd like to be, but I've seen that if I'm going to do this kind of stuff it would need to be now rather than later.... sometimes you just knwo when the time is right. The 'unofficial' special sets are ending (with Scrappy and Warners set being the last) and that's to make time for the other projects that have been stacked in close order. I super appreciate the community and all the help everyone has lent in supporting these sets- the small community really does makes these things happen- I can't stress that enough. I do feel bad I haven't been able to keep up perfectly with all the special orders and am prone to sending things late, but I'm hoping the better organization (and being done with fixing up a house to rent out) will make things easier.

And, who knows- maybe someday we'll have a lasergraphics scanner ourselves to do 4k in house.

Honestly, I didn't think this freak out was called for.

Seriously. Steve's known that the telecine has been on its last legs for a while now. No need to get everyone all worked up with a sensationalistic forum header.

Long live Thunderbean!

Is this the end of Thunderbean Animation?

Will our beloved business be dashed to bits on the jagged rocks of business?

Ehh, we don't know Steve very well, do we? [bugs]
