Always good to see more animation remastered in HD, but it's so absurd that all of these lesser-known Depatie-Freleng cartoons are coming to Blu-ray while nothing is happening with The Pink Panther. C'mon, MGM, what are you doing??

Maybe it's because due to MGM has been filing bankruptcy since this decade, their films are now own by Sony Pictures today. And Sony is careless on re-releasing the Pink Panther films and cartoons on DVD and/or Blu Ray today.

Isn't Fox the current distributor for MGM titles?

Well I never knew, but I do own some MGM titles on DVD released by 20th Century Fox.

Anyways, lets hope Fox will might re-release the Pink Panther cartoons and films for Blu Ray and DVD releases.

Yes, that's it for the United Artists DePatie-Freleng library.

As is Crazylegs Crane (already released). I enjoyed Misterjaw as a kid, and I'm looking forward to seeing those again -- but something tells me that as an adult, I won't find them to be as good or as funny as I remember.

I'm glad all this stuff is coming out. It gets me thinking, I wonder why certain characters were included on the Pink Panther show in its Saturday morning run, while others (R&R, Hoot Kloot, Dogfather, Blue Racer) were not. I don't remember ever seeing any of those until TNT ran some of them in the late 1980s.

We should also look into the various rights holders for their television series and specials
"The Oddball Couple"(Paramount/Viacom and Neil Simon)
"Goldillocks" with Bing and Mary Frances Crosby and also Paul Winchell (I believe MGM/UA though the Crosby estate would have to make the first move)
"Baggy Pants and the Nitwits"(NBC/Universal?)

And as a bonus, we have a tidbit from Jerry Beck via a Facebook post from Milton Knight:
"From LITTLE BOA PEEP - I just did an audio commentary for this one. The animation by "Dick Nicksen" is genius."

I thought that Baggy Pants & The Nitwits (1977) was distributed by 20th Century Fox.

Mark Arnold posted this in the Think Pink: DePatie-Freleng Group:

"I received the assignment yesterday to record some audio DVD/Blu-ray commentaries about some dog, some shark and some other character with the initials P.P."

Now we know The Dogfather and Misterjaw are the last cartoon series to be released in the DePatie/Freleng Collection from Kino/MGM, but if the last means anything, we could be seeing the Pink Panther cartoons again!!!
