Yeah the dreaded And Friends you see at Walmart in the $5 bin are BACK on March 3rd. We've seen Bugs, Daffy, Tweety, Tom and Jerry, Scooby-Doo, Fred Flintstone, Elmo, Cookie Monster, Batman, Superman,(catching breath), Powerpuff Girls, and more. Here be three more titles:

I hate Adventure Time, so I won't talk about it (it's pretty much double dips from a previous disc). Snoopy and Friends is the Snoopy's Reunion disc. The Cat in the Hat and Friends is just the same Deluxe Edition disc with a couple bonus specials. Yeah...same discs different cover. This deems very very bad. There is no creativity left at WHV. DVD sales are very bad that they have to release the same stuff over under a different name and cheaper price. At this rate, I think with the exception of Warner Archive, we are DONE with any new and exciting releases at WHV. Sorry, but after seeing this...I am convinced it is all over.

Those "couple bonus specials" on the Cat in the Hat disc were already on the original Deluxe Edition.

So even the bonus features are double-dipped.

Snoopy and Friends has actually been out as a Target exclusive since at least December. I bought it and it's literally just the Snoopy's Reunion disc inside of a new case.

The whole "And Friends" thing is a joke.

It's the "official" version of those countless pd tapes.

It's times like this where I think Warner Bros. should risk bad publicity and firing people who didn't like certain cartoons to the point of embarrassment just to give us something exicting!
Bad, but it'll make us get what we REALLY want.

Sadly, that's not how it works....

By the way, where is "Snoopy! The Musical" on DVD?

Actually they are all just repackaged versions of previously released DVDs.

There is also a Regular Show and a Samurai Jack entry as well.

Hey, Warners! Where's "Old School Vol. 4" like Sesame Workshop mentioned over two years ago?

At this point, I say Shout! Factory should be the ones having the "Sesame Street" license now. They released some Sesame Workshop shows before.

At least when they released thing, they don't release the same DVD under a new name and package (well, not as blandly as Warmers did).

I will agree, are high hopes on WB is over with. No new classic Looney Tunes cartoons on DVD and Blu Ray, no [tom] & [jerry] Golden Collection Vol. 2, and no complete Hanna-Barbera classics from the 50's and 60's (except Loopy De Loop). They're just releasing the same stuff that have already been released on DVD over and over again just to cash in on more money as possible!

I can only say that the money made in DVD sales will probably be used in the future to work with digitally remastering more films and cartoons (Looney Tunes shorts never-before-released on DVD, for one). It's gonna take a while for them to get enough money from DVD sales and not to mention the money made from sales at the box office, so we'll have to settle with DVD reprints and double-dips for a while until they get enough dough to work with restorations and remasters.

It sucks, as I've bought every LTMM release with newly restored cartoons on it, yet it's not enough to get more LTMMs on DVD.

I think WB should make box sets of the Platinum Collections and all three LTSS sets, like they did with the GCs.

I hope so.

Of course I still want WB to release those post-1935/pre-1943 black & white Looney Tunes as complete set on DVD and/or Blu Ray in the future, but there are 74 that haven't been released (and 76 that haven't been remastered) so I hope they will have enough to remaster the remaining cartoons when that time comes.
