TCM will be showing Popeye the Sailor Meets Sindbad the Sailor and Popeye the Sailor Meets Ali Baba's Forty Thieves back to back on Sunday, November 13th at 8:00pm.

I believe "Popeye the Sailor Meets Ali Baba's Forty Thieves" was supposed to be part of Turner Classic Movies' programming years earlier; back in the year 2011 to be precise. I also believe the reason they did not have it in their programming that year was due to a mistake in their programming process .

At least they aired the short at all. (Though I wonder why they used that print when there's a crisp DVD copy ready to be used.)

My guess is because the remastered DVD copies (with the original titles of course) were make for home video and are in the hands of Warner Home Entertainment and not TCM.

I know, it's like how most remastered DVD prints of the classic Looney Tunes are not shown on CN and Boomerang airings (they only air some from the first volume of the Golden Collections, and from the Road Runner and Wile. E Coyote Super Stars DVD). Including those that were remastered with their original titles.
