We all know that Elmer Fudd is best known for his brown hunter's outfit, mostly because he's best known for hunting Bugs and Daffy. Yet, in many cartoons from the 1940s, he is wearing a green outfit with a large bowler hat, very much like the Egghead character he evolved from.

So which is his official outfit?

I think he served with the 82nd Airborne Division.

As of now his hunter suit, but back then it was that green suit. That changed rather quickly with just a bowler hat and some kind of nice suit. However, Looney Tunes took at different turn in the 90's, and it's based off the popularity of him hunting for a wabbit.
