Hey everyone!

Here are stills from the long awaited "'Cartoon Cornered" It's a dubbing festival here right now, and I hope to get everyone's stuff sent by Friday- sorry for the long wait! One of the things on this set is a 'Cinema Paradiso' style reel of Nitrate cartoon clips - likely kept by some projectionist... it looks like they were taking hollywood caricature clips specifically. The stills from this reel start at the Skeleton Frolic and go from there... so those full cartoons are not on the set- just clips. Notice there's a little clip from one of the lost Barney Google cartoons. It's cool to see these little clips in Technicolor- what they looked like in original releases color-wise.

Flip the Frog sneak preview/pre-order announced tomorrow!

Even if it's just a small, small clip of the fabled Barney Google cartoons, what you have in there is a holy grail. Can't wait to see the clip; in full sound, once my disc arrives! ๐Ÿ˜‡

The clip of Clark Gable saying "I'm a bad boy!" (not shown in the stills) is from the lost ending to "Hollywood Steps Out". (See the comments in Cartoon Research. Steve just posted the reel there.)

Pardon my ignorance; but, I had no idea there was a lost ending to this wonderful cartoon.
Would someone, please, fill me in on the story.

What's the stop-motion film that's pictured on the top?

Could be wrong but it looks a lot like "Inspiration" (1948) by Czech animator Karel Zeman

Hi, Steve. I am wondering if you ever received the payments for my past two orders (Cartoon Cornered and Thundebean Thursday).
This is BluBat88's temporary username. I am currently working on getting a new password for my old account.

Steve, please reply to my PM, you are full of PMs and I can't send no more.
I'd really appreciate it if you could answer to the question I've been asking from almost a year now.
Thanks.

Pardon my ignorance, but what's the 1950s cartoon with the bear in the stew pot?

Pleasant surprise from the mailman today. Got the "Thunderbean Thursday 2016" disc in my hands and can't wait to dip in . . . . !

Hopefully the other special discs aren't too far behind!

I think that cartoon with the wolf (not a bear) is a 1960's Paramount cartoon which I also can't recall the title.
