Because of the recent weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth about the demise of the GAC website and associated forum, we at the Internet Animation Database felt that this was much too important a resource to let die. Consequently, we have been given access by the webmaster, Jon Cooke, to all of the files and databases and with his permission will be archiving the GAC at the IAD, ASAP and PDQ if we can, with the eventual idea of folding the two sites together. But it will take a little time. Everything is downloaded and we're just reworking some things right now so everything works correctly on the new server. But stay tooned, because the GAC will be back!

Can you bring back the ugly PD video cover contest? Those covers make me laugh!

Very good news. The Looney Tunes on Television section was one of most well-researched pages that explained which cartoons appeared in what network/ packages.

Thank you so much! It really sucked to see GAC come down without any notice, but glad to hear it'll be back as an archive now! 🙂

I'm very happy to see the sites finally online again, especially the Lantz-O-Pedia since that site contained many screenshots and credits for cartoons that either haven't been released on video or haven't surfaced on the Internet.

One thing: what will happen to the archives once (and if) all of the information on them is added to the database? Or is it too soon to say?

Sounds great now I can look over the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies Censored guide once more.

And how about the old IAD forums?
Will they also be rescued?

That's great! Although the about a big portion of the search index is missing. Searching for results like "Paul Terry" in the TTTP subforum for example pulls up nothing.

Does anyone know if the Ultimate Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies page will be brought back?
