Allthough "Peanuts" had better hype with marketing than "Winnie The Pooh" (the 2011 sequel), there is another film competing "Peanuts" that might sound cooler to older audience, the latest James Bond 007 film, "Spectre"

Will Peanuts gross more money than Bond? Or will the kids flock to see their famous comic strip and TV special characters come to life in a unique form of CGI?

I think some dollars will come from younger kids who are afraid of the MGM lion (even though there's NO EVIDENCE whatsoever that it's the cause of MGM going downhill). Or parents want super-pretend violence.

I don't want Peanuts to have another inital box-office failure to all of the other 4 Peanuts movies. To help the cause of supporting this film, I'm probably paying extra for the 3D...........

What do you think?

There is a chance not many folks (including "kids") would not want to watch "The Peanut Movie" due to its artwork and due to the fact that the creator of the cartoons it was based upon was not involved in its production.

That's similar to the logic that the creators of the specials had in mind when "A Charlie Brown Christmas" before it first aired in 1965.

Of course people are going to flock to this movie, it has better marketing than the official Winnie The Pooh sequel and John Carter.

The texture may be realistic, but they are trying to emulate the hand-drawn limited animation of the early specials.

Don't forget people watch new Disney movies without Walt's input on the actual production or no input at all......
