Ahead of its scheduled DVD release, Gumby Season 1 (aka, the 1950's episodes) is now available on iTunes. These are the newly remastered versions. The two "short" episodes, "Train Trouble" and "In a Fix" appear to be missing for some reason or another. For individual sale, iTunes has most episodes sold in pairs. The only episode not paired with another is "Moon Trip", most likely because it runs longer than most episodes.

I think it's because those first aired in 1960. Note that the letter Gumby receives in "Train Trouble" is dated 1960.

Naw, even though it was dated 1960, I'm sure the episode was actually produced in 1957. I remember a few other cartoons taking place a few years later than their production/release date, but I can't recall them on the top of my head right now...
Though it does feature that Lionel 2035 steam locomotive on the two-rail Primer O track, which was mostly featured in the 60s episodes (usually the 50s episodes had Marx O-scale trains), it is likely it was indeed from 1957.

1960 or not, it sounds to me that those two shorts are not going to be included in the first set but the following set.

All 1950's episodes are now indeed on iTunes. Not only were "Train Trouble" and "In a Fix" missing, but "Tree Trouble" was missing too. All 3 are now bundled together as an "episode" to make Season 1 complete.

On a similar subject, it's worth noting many of the Gumby videos on YouTube not uploaded by Kabillion are now blocked by "Base79 Ent 3 (Base79)". All of my Gumby soundtrack comparisons were blocked by them, so I had to remove them.

What the heck is Base 79?

From what I gather, Base79 is claiming copyright on the soundtrack material for Gumby videos uploaded to YouTube that aren't authorized.

I just did a quick seach on Google, and I found that they are part of a company known as Rightster

And they've even blocked the full MST3K version of "Robot Rumpus!" That sucks, as that was my favorite way to watch the episode!
