Reviews and Comments

From Ryan :

I enjoy this short, but I have not seen it in awhile. It features a penguin named Pablo who sails north for the winter from his home in Antarctica (the coldest place on Earth). It makes me kind of want to travel to a warmer climate right now in the winter time.

From Rebecca Robertson :

I like this short because it had penguins in it, and penguins rock! It's also funny because the tub he was in had the shower part on it so that he could use the water to propel himself forward, and that was kind of funny to watch. I give it a 10, definitely, because it's so funny (and yes I know I've already said it's funny, but it was just really funny.)

From Baruch Weiss :

As every Disney fan knows this short can be seen on "The 3 Caballeros" and I myself would love to move to Florida or some other warmer climate, think about it no snow or potholes. In fact, I was in Israel for half a year this year and every 4 years they get snow and this was one of those years!

From Billy Joe :

A work of genius! It has great characters and a great storyline. Sterling Holloway (Winnie the Pooh, Kaa) did an amazing job narrating this short. This is one of the best parts of The Three Caballeros.

From Bryan Hensley :

Pablo certainly is cold-blooded! He wanted to be in a hot climate. That doesn't sound normal for a penguin. "Professor" Sterling Holloway does an excellent job in narration in this and other shorts he narrated! (The Little House, Goliath II, Lambert The Sheepish Lion, Peter and The Wolf, and Susie the Little Blue Coupe for instance!) It's amazing that a shower can make a good motor for a tub at sea! (Like a motorboat!) Pablo, Burrito, and the Aracuan bird from the Three Caballeros sure are "avas raras" ("Rare birds" in Spanish.) all right! I hope you enjoy this short, or even the whole movie it came from! It's gonna get chilly out there! (Chilly Willy didn't come to be until the '50's, if you know what I mean.)

From Brady Connell :

Del Connell created The Cold-Blooded Penguin while he was stationed in Panama during WWII. He sold the story to Walt Disney for $500 (image of signed cel available: "Del - Thanks for a swell story. - Walt.") Del should be credited as creator/writer. Thanks for whatever you can do! (Editors Note: done!)
