EDIT:
Extra... a 35mm 2-color IB Technicolor Phantasy. Looks to be in good condition. A 35mm print of Kitty Caddy was already found and digitally uploaded by Thad to YouTube, but still. http://www.ebay.com/itm/...773cf:g:ysEAAOSwSzdXBq-i

I have discovered that the re-issue print of "The Three Little Pigs" (1933) can be found on one of the early Walt Disney Cartoon Classics tapes here . I knew that all the time.

But of course since the Favorite Stories Collection: The Three Little Pigs VHS from 1996, Disney remastered the original titles back to the cartoon, and since then, all later releases of the cartoon on DVD and Blu Ray would use the original titles.

Given how this particular cartoon was considered lost for a long period of time and that the two prints belonging to Thad and Mark Kausler were the only ones known to exist at the time Thad uploaded it (and the other, VHS-transfer-like copy on Youtube is surely a composite of Kausler's), I'd say this is a pretty neat find! (Even if the cartoon itself is a total misfire...)

And it's from the UK too....

What's the deal with all these MGM cartoons with original titles coming from British prints?

Sometimes, popular cartoons in the overseas never got exported reissues, and thankfully cartoons that were going to be lost were saved by reissues.

IIRC Steve got some Flip The Frog prints with original titles from overseas locations.

What could be better to spend 6,500 bucks on than a 16mm silent home movie print of Steamboat Willie?

Here's a 16mm print of Hookum Hotel. It looks like to be a more modern generation reduction but this Aesop's Fables cartoon is one of the very uncommon (no public footage available).

Where'd that creepy color "The End" title come from? I remember seeing it on "Out of the Milk Bottle" on Steve's Cultoons vol 2 set.

An original Castle Films rerelease of Peg Leg The Pirate, from Terrytoons. It might contain a scene that was probably spliced out from the Barker Bill syndication that I watched and studied on Kausler's print.
