Check CN right now! They seem to be airing a remastered print of Hawaiian Aye Aye! Will report back however if it is that or a dubbed print.

UPDATE: OK guys. I am happy to report that Hawaiian Aye Aye aired a new remastered transfer today!

Still, I'm quite mad at CN for doing this. These shorts were meant to be aired in fullscreen, not in widescreen with two black bars on the top and bottom. This ain't the movie theater anymore.

That's the thing; they ARE in full screen just in faux widescreen. Imagine a full screen image, and squishing it to a point where they are black bars. That's what that is. Off topic here, I've finally learned that pillarboxing is the one where full screen material are preserved with black bars on the left and right for HD/widescreen viewing.

I really wish I could run CN and correct this problem. Trust me, I'll run it like a well-oiled machine.

"between a rock and a hard place" indeed. On one hand, it's good to see classic cartoons on TV again (even if the prints are out of date), for both kids and older fans, Jerry stated once on Stu's Show that Looney Tunes have brought in ratings for CN and airings could help drive DVD/Blu-ray sales. On the other, some prints are censored, the same shorts keep playing over and over and over again with little to no variety and now CN is being shown in both SD and HD feeds in a faux/pillar-boxed widescreen (there are exceptions like Regular Show, Adventure Time, Annoying Orange, and Teen Titans Go! since those were made in widescreen to begin with).

Yeah, I now started to notice they showing their full screen stuff in "widescreen" on the SD now. This makes me angry (very angry indeed). CN, take a page from Nick and Disney and show the full screen material in full screen on the SD and window-boxed on the HD feed.

Yeah, CN's HD feed is a joke. They pillar-box the full screen material (in addition they show Ed, Edd, 'n Eddy in a stretched/pillar-boxed widescreen format when the show it self was in full screen). Here's a little tip, anything shown in widescreen with the black boxes on the SD feed is in HD (anamorphically enhanced) on the HD feed. Have they ever heard of window-boxing?
